Form NA3 – Sponsoring a Foreign Relative to Enter Vietnam: Download and How to Fill It In (2026)

Form NA3 is the application a Vietnamese citizen – or a foreigner holding a Vietnamese temporary or permanent residence card – uses to sponsor a foreign relative (spouse, child, parent…) to enter Vietnam on a family visit visa (TT). The new version was issued with Circular 70/2026/TT-BCA and applies from 1 July 2026.

Who uses this form?

Vietnamese citizens sponsoring a foreign spouse, child or parent.
Foreigners with a temporary/permanent residence card sponsoring relatives (the head of the organisation that sponsors them must confirm section I).

Which language to fill in: This is the official bilingual Vietnamese–English form. Fill it in in English or Vietnamese, in CAPITAL LETTERS, with names exactly as in the passport. Do not translate the form into another language – only the official form is accepted.

Supporting documents and where to submit

Copies of documents proving the relationship (marriage certificate, birth certificate…); foreign documents must be legalised and have a certified Vietnamese translation.
A copy of the sponsored person's passport.
Submit at the Immigration Department – Ministry of Public Security.

Common mistakes that get applications returned

Missing proof of relationship, or foreign documents not legalised.
Foreign sponsor without the organisation's confirmation in the "Confirmation" section.
Wrong relationship stated in the table in section II.
