Under Decree 219/2025/ND-CP a work permit can be renewed only once, for up to 2 years. File when the permit has 10–45 days of validity left; the provincial People’s Committee (Department of Home Affairs) decides within 10 working days. You need the request with labour-demand justification (Form 03), a health certificate valid 12 months, the current permit, passport, two 4×6 cm photos and proof of continued employment. After one renewal, a new permit is required.
