Vietnam Visa Run via Moc Bai Border: Same-day Service
A visa run means leaving Vietnam and re-entering to obtain a new entry stamp. From Ho Chi Minh City the usual route is the Moc Bai international border gate in Tay Ninh province, done in a single day.
How the day goes
- Pick-up in Ho Chi Minh City in the early morning.
- Drive to Moc Bai, about 2–3 hours depending on traffic.
- Exit Vietnam, complete Cambodian entry formalities.
- Re-enter Vietnam on a new e-visa or approval letter prepared in advance.
- Return to Ho Chi Minh City the same afternoon.
What you need
- Passport valid at least 6 months
- A valid Vietnam entry document for the return leg — e-visa or approval letter, arranged before the trip
- Cambodian visa fee in cash if applicable to your nationality
Before you choose a visa run
A visa run is a practical short-term fix, not a long-term status. If you work in Vietnam you need a work permit and an LD visa; if you live here with family, a temporary residence card is cheaper over a year and far less stressful. Border officers may also question travellers who repeat the pattern frequently.
Tay Ninh after the 2025 provincial merger
Since 1 July 2025, Long An and Tay Ninh have been merged into Tay Ninh province, with the administrative centre in Long An. The Moc Bai gate itself operates as before.
Price on request — it depends on your nationality, the Vietnam entry document you need and the vehicle size. Call or Zalo 0327 828 822.
