Vietnam Visa Approval Letter (Visa on Arrival) Service

A visa approval letter is a document issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department allowing a foreigner to collect a visa at an international border gate or at a Vietnamese embassy abroad. It is the standard route for business travellers and for anyone whose nationality is not covered by the e-visa or visa exemption.

How it works

  1. A Vietnamese company or a relative sponsors the applicant using form NA2 (new template since 1 July 2026).
  2. The Immigration Department reviews the file — normally 5 working days, faster for urgent cases.
  3. We send you the approval letter by email.
  4. You collect the visa at the airport (Tan Son Nhat, Noi Bai, Da Nang) or at the embassy named in the letter, paying the stamping fee in cash.

Visa symbols we arrange

Symbol Purpose Usual validity
DL Tourism 1–3 months
DN1, DN2 Business meetings, projects, equipment support up to 12 months
LD1, LD2 Employment with a work permit up to 2 years
DT1 – DT4 Investment 12 months to 5 years
TT Visiting family up to 12 months

What we need from you

  • Passport bio page scan — name, number and dates must match exactly
  • Entry date, requested validity, single or multiple entry
  • Where the visa will be collected: which airport or which embassy
  • For company sponsorship: business registration certificate and form NA16 if not yet filed

Fees

Service fee from 1,850,000 VND for a one-month single-entry letter, from 2,500,000 VND for DN, LD, DT and TT categories. The stamping fee paid at the border is 25 USD (single entry) or 50 USD (multiple entry, under 3 months), collected by the immigration officer, not by us.

Important

You cannot enter Vietnam earlier than the date written on the approval letter. If your travel plan changes, a new letter is needed. Passports must be valid at least 6 months beyond entry.
