What is xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn?
“Xuất nhập cảnh” means “exit and entry” in Vietnamese. Xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn (Cổng thông tin điện tử về xuất nhập cảnh Việt Nam) is the official website of the Vietnam Immigration Department. It is the authoritative source on visa policy, visa exemptions and entry, exit and residence procedures for foreigners and Vietnamese citizens. The site has Vietnamese and English versions (use the flag icons in the menu).
Only domains ending in .gov.vn belong to the government. Look-alike domains such as xuatnhapcanh.com, xuatnhapcanh.com.vn or similar are not run by the Immigration Department.

E-visa: use thithucdientu.gov.vn
Since 11 November 2024, the official e-visa website has been thithucdientu.gov.vn, replacing the old address evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn (Government News). The online services link on xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn points to this site.
The process has three steps: fill in the application, pay the fee, and receive the e-visa by email or look it up on the site. The government fee is 25 USD for single entry and 50 USD for multiple entry (see Vietnam visa fees 2026). Step-by-step help: Vietnam e-visa application guide.
Temporary residence declaration
Since 25 May 2026, the Ministry of Public Security has run a shared system for declaring the temporary residence of foreigners and the stay of Vietnamese citizens at tbltkbtt.bocongan.gov.vn and the TBLT KBTT mobile app (announcement on xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn). It uses document scanning (OCR) and biometric verification to reduce manual data entry.
