Approval Letter for a Family Visa TT: Conditions and Documents

Who may sponsor
- A Vietnamese citizen — for a foreign spouse, child or parent
- A foreigner holding a valid temporary residence card — for a spouse and children under 18
Proof of relationship

Other documents
- Form NA3 — individual sponsorship declaration
- Sponsor identity and residence documents
- Passport bio page of the applicant, valid at least six months
Validity and limits
Up to 12 months, extendable with form NA5. TT does not permit employment. For stays beyond a year, the TT residence card runs up to three years.
For families of Vietnamese origin
If the applicant or the spouse is of Vietnamese origin, compare with the 5-year exemption certificate: five years validity, 180 days per entry, usually cheaper.
