Family Residence Card TT for Spouses and Children

Who may sponsor

Documents
- Form NA7 (individual sponsor) and form NA8 from the applicant
- Marriage or birth certificate — legalised and translated if issued abroad
- Sponsor identity and residence documents, or a copy of the sponsor residence card
- Original passport with a valid TT visa
- Temporary residence declaration for the family address
Validity and limits
Up to three years. The card does not permit employment: working requires a work permit and a switch to LD status. Children reaching 18 move to their own basis at the next renewal.
Cheaper alternative for Vietnamese-origin families
If the applicant or spouse is of Vietnamese origin, compare the 5-year exemption certificate: 180 days per entry, five years, lower cost, no sponsor filing each cycle.
