Vietnam Visa for Georgian Citizens 2026: E-Visa and Requirements

Georgia citizens are not on Vietnam’s visa exemption lists, so you need a visa before you travel. The simplest option is the Vietnam e-visa: valid for up to 90 days, single or multiple entry, with a state fee of USD 25 or USD 50 under Circular 28/2026/TT-BTC. If you plan to work, invest or join family in Vietnam, you may need a sponsored visa (DN, LĐ, ĐT or TT) and later a temporary residence card. Info Travel checks your file and handles every step. Do Georgians need a visa for Vietnam?

Yes. Georgia is not covered by Vietnam’s unilateral visa exemptions (Resolutions 44/NQ-CP and 229/NQ-CP), and there is no bilateral visa-waiver for ordinary passports. Holders of Georgian ordinary passports must have a visa, a temporary residence card or a 5-year visa exemption certificate to enter Vietnam.

Documents from Georgia

Degrees, criminal record certificates, marriage and birth certificates issued in Georgia usually need consular legalisation (or an Apostille where the Apostille Convention applies between Georgia and Vietnam from 11 September 2026) and a notarised Vietnamese translation before Vietnamese authorities accept them. Check which Vietnamese embassy is accredited to Georgia before you start, as it may be located in a neighbouring country.

Common mistakes Georgian travellers make

  • Typing the name differently from the passport (order of names, missing middle name).
  • Choosing single entry when you plan a side trip to Cambodia, Laos or Thailand.
  • Entering through a different port from the one on the e-visa.
  • Overstaying: fines apply and you must exit; see Vietnam visa overstay fines.
