Usually yes if you overstayed by less than 16 days, are leaving on a booked flight, your passport is intact and there are no other violations: border officers draw up a record and you pay before boarding. Arrive 3–4 hours early and bring enough VND cash. For 16 days or more, settle the case at an immigration office first. See short overstay help.

Where do I pay the overstay fine?

The fine is paid to the authority named in the penalty decision: the provincial immigration office where you stay, the Immigration Department, or the border checkpoint on departure for short overstays. Keep the receipt and the decision for departure or a new visa. Need help? WhatsApp +84327828822.
