Registering on the Vietnam National Public Service Portal
Several immigration-adjacent procedures — criminal record certificates, residence declarations, some labour filings — can be submitted through the national public service portal instead of in person.
What you need first
- A Vietnamese phone number for verification
- Passport or ID details matching the documents you will file
- For companies: the digital signature token and the enterprise registration certificate
Registration steps
- Choose the account type — individual (passport for foreigners) or organisation.
- Enter the identity details exactly as on the document; mismatches block verification later.
- Verify the phone number and email.
- For organisations, link the digital signature to sign submissions.
What it is useful for
- Applying for a criminal record certificate used in work permit files
- Following the status of submitted files without visiting the office
- Paying fees online where the procedure supports it
What it does not replace
Approval letters and residence card files are filed with the Immigration Department — through its own channels, including the company electronic account. Temporary residence declarations have their own portal: see here.
Common problems
- Name order differing from the passport
- Phone number registered to someone else, blocking verification
- Expired digital signature for company accounts
