Official Vietnam Immigration & E-visa Websites 2026: Spot Fakes

Vietnam’s official immigration portal is xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn (Immigration Department, Ministry of Public Security), and e-visas are issued only through the department’s .gov.vn e-visa site (currently thithucdientu.gov.vn) for a state fee of USD 25 (single entry) or USD 50 (multiple entry). A site that charges more as a “visa fee” without saying it is a private agency, or that “guarantees approval”, is not a government site. Info Travel can point you to the right official portal or apply for you transparently – WhatsApp +84327828822.

Many travellers search for “evisa vietnam gov” and land on look-alike sites designed to resemble government pages. Below: the official websites and what each does, how to spot fakes, what to do if you paid the wrong site, and an honest comparison of applying yourself versus using a licensed service company.

Domains are written as plain text: type them into your browser rather than clicking ads.

Many sources say the domain evisa.gov.vn also leads to the official e-visa site. We have not been able to verify this independently, so the safest route is to open xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn and follow its own e-visa link.

How the official Vietnam e-visa website works

  • Open to citizens of all countries and territories; valid up to 90 days, single or multiple entry.
  • You fill in the form, upload a portrait photo and your passport data page, and pay online. The law sets a 3-working-day decision time; in practice expect about 3–5 working days.
  • State fee: USD 25 (single entry) and USD 50 (multiple entry) under Circular 28/2026/TT-BTC – see Vietnam visa fees. Your bank or payment gateway may add a small transaction charge.
  • After submitting you receive an application code to check and print your e-visa.

Online immigration services for companies and accommodation providers

  • Company e-account: sponsoring companies can register an electronic account to file entry approval requests (form NA2) online. A company digital signature and a registered NA16 (seal and signature specimen) are normally needed. Under the law, organisations applying for e-visas for foreigners need an electronic identity account and electronic signature and file via the National Public Service Portal or the e-visa site. See company e-account on the immigration portal.
  • National Public Service Portal account: see how to register an account.
  • Temporary residence declaration: hotels, landlords and host families declare on tbltkbtt.bocongan.gov.vn as soon as the guest arrives; paper form NA17 within 12 hours (24 hours in remote areas). See temporary residence declaration.

How to recognise a fake or look-alike e-visa site

  1. Check the domain: government sites always end in .gov.vn. Domains containing “evisa”, “vietnam” or “immigration” but ending in .com, .org or .net are not government sites, whatever flags, emblems or “official” labels they show.
  2. Compare the fee: the state fee is USD 25/50. A “visa fee” of USD 80–200 with no breakdown of the service charge is a warning sign.
  3. “Guaranteed approval” or “100% refund”: no site, including the official one, can guarantee a result – only the Immigration Department decides.
  4. Company details: a legitimate agency names its legal entity, address and phone number and states clearly that it is not a government body.
  5. Sponsored search results: ads at the top of search results are usually commercial sites. Type xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn yourself.
  6. Unusual requests: sending your passport via social media, paying into a personal bank account, or extra “urgent fees” after payment.

Paid a fake site? What to do

  • Check the official site: if you were given an application code, look it up. Some intermediaries do file a real application and simply charge more. If there is no record, do not travel on an unverified document – apply again on the official site.
  • Contact your bank or card issuer: ask for a transaction dispute (chargeback) as soon as possible; keep emails, receipts and screenshots.
  • Report it: to the police or consumer-protection body in your country, and to the Immigration Department via the contact details on xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn.
  • Protect your data: monitor your card and change your email password if it was reused.
